Trip to Saigon

Coffee culture is very popular in Vietnam, similar to that in Paris.  I'm posing next to the most expensive beans, which is only like .75 cents US a gram.
I'm at a crowded Hue style restaurant.
These are little rice cakes with minced shrimp and a pork rind on top.  Interesting.
Another day, another coffee on the streets of Saigon.
We went to Independence Palace for a day tour.  That place is huge.  It's where the former Presidents lived.
I'm getting an educational tour on the Palace. Behind me is a bust of Ho Chi Minh, the former leader of Viet Nam.
Vietnam's economy is growing so fast.  It's becoming a part of the global finance world.  Behind me you can see Bixteco Bldg, which is a new modern skyrise in downtown Saigon's financial district.
This is a big meeting hall where the former President used to greet dignitaries.  I want to go in there.  But they won't let me sit in the chair because I'm not a President of any country.
The cherry blossoms and yellow flowers celebrate the Lunar New Year, which just past.  There are red envelops in the flowers for good luck.  This carpet, with the dragons on it, is very old.
Finally, I was so good on the trip, that Co Oanh gave me some lucky money to celebrate Lunar New Year.  About time Co Oanh!

Going to work as a TV Writer

Auntie took me to see the life of a writer today.  She took me to this place called The Lot where there's a bunch of sound studios and TV and film production.  So Hollywood.  We visited her friend who works for a vampire show called True Blood.  I'm going to write a rap song called True Blood someday.  Anyways, I was asked by the executive producer of the show if I could whip out a really good script.  Obviously, he knows good talent when he sees it.  So I sat down and wrote a bomb good script.  In like 37 minutes.  Bam.  Just like that.  Easy.  I should get paid to write man.

All the writers are housed in this building.

I got my coffee and snacks.  My mac.  My music.  All set to pound out a script.

So easy!  Print it baby.

The Grove/Old Farmer's Market

Auntie took me to another tourist attraction today in Los Angeles, the Old Farmer's Market which is next to the Grove, which is a shopping and entertainment center.  I was like totally over it after 15 minutes.  It was so boring.  I hate shopping!  And tourists!  Yuck!  The one cool thing they have is an old truck, from like a long time ago.  I got to sit in it.  And this old trolley that takes you back and forth on the strand.  I love trolley rides.

Here we are at the Farmer's Market at Third and Fairfax in the middle of LA.

That's the clock tower.

The old truck.  It was shiny and cool.  But really old.

Full service please.  Hello.  Anyone hear me?

Auntie made me take a picture in this dumb shit.  So annoying!

Vanity license plates.  I'm going to get one someday when I become a big rapper.

Ahh, the land of dreams.

Now we're at the grove where all these unemployed hipsters hang out.

I'm waiting for the trolley.

Here it comes!  Hurry up trolley!

It's here!  Get in Auntie!  Run!

I'm going to ride on the edge.  Of glory!  That is a dope lyric.  My colors look good on this green trolley.

Can we go home now Auntie!  Oh wait, let's stop and get some candy!

Venice Beach Chillin'

Sunday sunday sunday.  After waking up at noon (from some serious partying last night), and watching some football games, I headed to Venice Beach for pre-sunset happy hour.  Venice Beach is a big tourist destination.  It was like 75 degrees outside in the middle of January and everyone was enjoying fun in the sun. The strand features funky stores that sells tourist stuff and a bunch of street performers and skateboarders and lots of surfers and volleyball players.  In fact, while I was cruising the skate park, this one dude chunked it pretty hard.  So I called the lifeguard for help and some firemen also came over and gave the skater some first aid.  Other than that excitement, it was a totally fun day in Venice.  Really cool spot to catch the sunset too.  Sweet day man.

Walkway into Venice Beach.

Venice

Lots of bicyclists.

Trying on some sweet sunglasses.  HELLO ladies...

Can you find me?

I like this look for me.  Hot.  The mustache is taller than I am.

I like the shirt, but I need a smaller size.

Shhh!  I'm tagging this wall with graffiti art before the police come.

Now it's time to catch some wind at the skate park.

That dude to my left has no skills.  I'll show him!

Okay, here I go on my sweet board down the ramp.

Skateboarding is tiring. Now I'm going to kick it on the sand and watch the sunset.

Endless summers in LA dude.

I'm going to apply to be a lifeguard during the summers.

Or a fireman.

I look good in red.  This ride suits me.

Ahhh.  Wonderful sunset in Venice.

Friday night: Haircut and Bar

Friday night and I had to get my game on.  First, I went to Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills to get styled out by the pretty committee.  And then I hit Jones, a bar and restaurant in Hollywood.  Jones has been a scene in Hollywood for the young and fabulous for many years.  So of course, I rocked out at the bar.

Getting ready for a professional hair wash.

The staff at Cristophe salon are so wonderful.  The pretty lady gave me a hair massage. My Aunt is to my left.

Celebrity Stylist Jeffrey Jagged talks about what he wants to do with my hair.

I leave Cristophe looking sexy and I know it!

Time for scotch at Jones Bar.

It feels so good when it hits my mouth.

Famous cast iron skillet apple pie a la mode at Jones.  Yummy!
